TRADITIONAL HAFLINGER HORSE RACES AND PROCESSION

Town Centre and Merano Racecourse         start: 10 a.m.

On Easter Monday the “Haflinger” horses, famous for their chestnut coats and blond manes, compete at the Merano Racecourse (Via Palade).
At 10:00 a.m. there is a procession through the town center of many colourful floats accompanied by brass bands in local costumes, while in the afternoon (from 1:00 p.m.) local and international jockeys compete on the track.

Admission to the Merano Racecourse: €13.00 for adults, €7.00 with discount (16-18 years), free entry for children and young people up to age 16.
